About Us
The Tobacco Road Cruisers is a nonprofit organization. The purpose of the club is to unite one body for the purpose of enjoying all aspects of classic auto sports and camaraderie among the members. We Would love to have you come to a meeting or one of our events!
History
The early beginnings of the Tobacco Road Cruisers started around 1997 with a group of guys and gals who enjoyed old cars and hot rods, who got together on a semi regular basis to cruise and socialize.this went on for several years. Interest within the community grew in late 1999/early 2000, the Tobacco Road Cruisers was formed.
Our Contributions
We strive to support our local community by donating our time and charitable donations to organizations like the Battered Women's Shelter, Onslow County Ministries, Soup Kitchen, Caring for Kids, Christmas Cheer programs and veteran programs.
Accolades
In 2003 our club was nominated and won both the Onslow County and North Carolina Golden Rule Awards in non-profit category for contributions to the community. We are extremely proud of our accomplishments over the years, but none of them could have been done without the support of our friends in the Street Rod community.
Today there are twenty or so cruiser families who enjoy getting together, swapping lies, socializing, and going to car shows. If you are interested in having some fun, come join us.
From time to time we also make prior arragements to cruise to another location in town or to one of the surrounding cities to visit the other clubs in the area. If you would like to come out on a saturday night or have something in mind that would create some interest or just not sure what is going on please dont hesitate to email us or check out our FaceBook page.
